Observing is a superpower if you know how to use it.
I’m in awe of people who want cameras pointed at them. I’m an actor’s director--I really connect with talent. I like to work organically, but always have a plan, and aim to foster a collaborative vibe. I believe everyone has something valuable to contribute to the process.
I’d rather be on a set than anywhere else.
Having a united team behind a singular vision isn’t easy. But it’s why I get out of bed in the morning. I believe film and TV is the literature of our time. My goal is to direct episodic TV, especially pilots—because they set up the character’s visual language and emotional vibe of the show.
